Folktales
are performed by Cindy the storyteller and young
adults express themselves and celebrate culture by performing interactive
folklore. They either share an oral tradition from their family or choose a
tale among Latino, African, Native-American or Asian folktales.
Theatrical games, characterization and movement are enacted along with
playing instruments to enhance the chorus and musical parts of the tales. Show
can be a traditional performance of folklore also, depending on the audience. Cindy
is an approved, current Arts Education Provider with LAUSD sponsored by their
Arts Community Partnership Network (ACPN). She gives hundreds of students in
